Health and safety is not a very exciting topic, but it is important to know that your guests will be safeĀ at your event and that all equipment is set up in a manner that minimises any potential risks.

The two standard health and safety documents that venues often ask mobile discos and DJs to provide are a “Public Liability Insurance” (PLI) certificate and a “Portable Appliance Test” (PAT) electrical safety certificate.

Some venues may also require a risk assessment and method statement to be submitted. Click the link below to see the risk assessment and method statement for the installation of our standard sound and lighting setup. If the venue or event has a specific risks that require changes or additions to the standard risk assessment then it’s no problem at all to update it as necessary.

Most importantly, whoever you chose to book for your event, for the safety of you and your guests, always make sure they have up to date PAT and Public Liability Insurance. And be sure to get a copy of their certificates before you book or hand over any money.
